Olga Pericet

To speak of Olga Pericet is to speak of freshness and surprise: of beauty, delicacy, passion and precision. A refined mastery of the technique ensures the precise dosage of intensity, poured drop by drop, into every performance. This incombustible flamenco dancer concentrates in every stage appearance a perfect mixture of restraint, intuition and wisdom. Olga successfully combines traditional and contemporary expression.

After performing in the most recognized stages, both nationally and internationally, in 2011 she created her own dancing company in order to persue a solo career. Her first production ROSA METAL CENIZA brings her a step forward in consolidating what has been her distinguishing trade mark: rigorous technique, versatility, aesthetic commitment to her craft and to Flamenco dance.

After the debut in the Jerez Festival, ROSA METAL CENIZA has been performed in the best specialized festivals such as: New York, Boston, Washington D.C., and London Flamenco Festivals; Biennial Nimes and Holland, Biennial Seville, Granada Dance and Music Festival and Albuquerque Festival among others, where she has repeatedly captivated audiences unconditionally.

In the rendition of her second production DE UNA PIEZA, Olga Pericet has once again displayed her unique style. It premiered as a prelude to the fourth edition of the Flamenco Biennial in Holland, as well as in the German Festival at Dusseldorf and continued to be performed at Festivals at Vancouver, Queretaro, Tampere, and at the Paris Biennial, to name a few.

In the 2014 Jerez Festival she performed PISADAS. An intense and bold production borrowing from traditionally popular imagery intertwined with vanguard contemporary codes showing a different perspective and experience. This performance leaves no stone unturned, it rattles every pre-conceived notion in Flamenco Dance.
